First off, WHAT THE HECK RICK
Apparently, Trials of Apollo isn’t the nice clean ending to the Greek/Roman mythology series I thought it was. The third book of the series, The Burning Maze wasn’t afraid to pack an emotional pack, and drastically change the lives of major characters.
Minus the destruction of my heart, The Burning Maze was perfect for showing the character development of Apollo/Lester, as well as bringing in the well-missed character Grover.
As always, Rick Riordan wrote The Burning Maze in a way that is silly and sarcastic as well as deep and emotional. Just maybe too emotional for me.
